Emily Lawes was born with one arm, is a working Mum, and has one goal in life at the moment, and that is to represent England in the Para Olympics 2012. Emily is a teaching assistant at St Mary’s Special School which deals with children that have speech and language problems.

Emily rides for two local clubs the ARC (Alternative Riding Club) and Hastings and Battle Riding Club and is on the committee of both clubs. She also helps organize and is a Chairperson of  ‘The Bexhill Horse Show’ one of the largest equestrian events held in the South of England, held every Late May Bank Holiday.

Emily has also ridden Internationally for GB as an Individual in France, Ireland & Spain

And her new boy Ulesees IV is a Dutch warm blood and should be ready next year to compete competitively in 2010. This year he was just coming right when in April he became lame for no particular reason, on taking him to the vets and £1600 lighter he was diagnosed with Navicular Syndrome  which is treatable but not curable.

Ulesees is responding well to treatment and should be back in light work soon, will keep you all posted.
